Meet My Hero

Like I promised earlier, I'll take Fridays out to celebrate and appreciate people. In line with the fathers' day celebration, I have decided to introduce to you: a great man, My first Love, My Hero, My Teacher, The Greatest Dad in the whole world: Sir Ernest Gwacham
Forever a Happy man

Yeah, That's my Dad. Always filled with light, love and strength. He taught all his kids what it means to stay hopeful in every situation.

The second out of eight children who gave his all to ensure a good life for his siblings after the death of their Dad. Dropped out of school to ensure everyone of them got educated in the absence of their Dad. During this process, he lost an arm but didn't let that deter him in any way.

With clue from what he went through as a child, he became a father to as many children as they were that found their way into his household. Till date, he treats each one of them as his own child and will do everything within his power to assist the less privileged. At the moment, he has eight(8) university graduates out of which six(6) are his biological children and many more still in view.

Here's a little write up I sent to him which I've decided to share:
"Happy Fathers' day Daddy. I'm grateful to God for making me your daughter. You taught us to stay hopeful and thankful to God at all times and in every situation. You hide your hurts to make sure your family smiles. You and Mum have given us such a happy home. We may not say it all the time but we appreciate you so much. Being a good father could be very tasking but you have done this job so well as if it's quite easy. Daddy, thanks for being YOU. Thanks for being a Father to us and the many children under you. God bless you Daddy, I love you so much Sir. Happy fathers' day to you."

There's never a dull moment with Him. He's a wonderful husband;

A great Friend and Father;
 A Strong Grandpa;

And above all, A BLESSED MAN

That's my Hero, I'm glad I got the chance to share this with you all.

  1. Wow! There are no words to describe such a great man. I am inspired by your writing about him. What else can I say? Like I said, there no words. I don't need an angel to tell me how wonderful-a person he is. After know as his daughter. I wish him strength and guidance. I celebrate you, papa and friend.
