WORDS

Many times we play with words just to catch fun and make people laugh but not everyone gets to swallow them easily. In interacting with people, I’ve come to realize that there are different people with different backgrounds, different levels of reasoning, different approaches to jokes, different life styles and different tolerance levels.

Everyone on earth is entitled to an opinion, no one can rob you of that on a normal day. How you decide to present that opinion of yours and what the opinion is all about goes a very long way in making inscriptions on people's hearts. A comedian once said “If we had to recharge our mouths before speaking, a lot of people would talk less.” But HEY!!! Everyone can talk as much and for as long as they want to. How you decide to react to these opinions solely depends on you. It’s just an opinion and every human is entitled to theirs!! No man can define you with his words, that’s your responsibility: You decide to either struggle to beat their opinion of you or just BE YOURSELF!!

Never take rash decisions based on words, the speaker can still walk up to you tomorrow and apologize but will you be able to undo the damage you already meted out in anger? A guy said he’s no longer interested in you and you quickly poison his food or even decide to take your own life (absolute insanity if you ask me). What if while eating the poisoned food, he says he was only trying to see your reaction in a breakup situation? Will you be able to “unpoison” the food? (yeah! Had to create that word…lol)

Let’s quickly take our minds back to a governor who angrily asked a widow to go and die……hmmmm. Did he mean it that way? No, but did he voice it out? Yes!! Taking our minds off the things that later transpired between both parties in an attempt to make up for those words, let’s imagine what would have become of that family if the woman had actually taken her own life out of frustration. What if the press didn’t get a hold of that video clip? What picture of the said governor will be in the minds of the victim, her family, passersby, friends of the family, etc?

Be careful with your words. Once hurtful words are said, they can only be forgiven, not forgotten. Words, once they are printed, have a life of their own. Words can both create and destroy! Most times, hurtful words are not meant to hurt the hearers but to express the pains the speakers/writers are going through. Permit me to ask: What do you gain from hurting others just to prove you’ve been hurt? Nothing!!! You simply just succeed in piercing through their hearts and most times painting a bad and wrong image of you.

Your words can hurt someone more than you intended to and therefore it is important that you take a moment to think before you speak, no matter your mood. Words are expensive; once they are said they cannot be taken back. Choose your words wisely, else they can become costly to you.

Have a blessed day.

Fear

Hey there!! It’s good to have you here. I would like to briefly share a few thoughts from an audio book I came across online. Should this be called a continuation of my last post? Maybe, maybe not. The quote below is a compilation coined from the audio book “Releasing you from fear” by Stephen Richards.

Our level of love or our level of fear determines the state of our reality. When you explore your fears then you set yourself free. When you have mastered fear then you have mastered all. When your back is to the wall and you are facing fear head on, the only way is forward and through it. Fear can make a moth seem the size of a bull elephant. When you have fear then the world is a big place. When you have courage then the world shrinks.

Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger—if we don't feel it, we may not protect ourselves from legitimate threats. But often we fear situations that are far from life-or-death, and thus hang back for NO GOOD REASON. Traumas or bad experiences can trigger a fear response within us that is hard to quell. Yet exposing ourselves to our personal demons is the best way to move past them.
Information either brings you fear or faith (depending on the carrier). Let’s choose what we read and listen to as our ears and eyes are the channels through which information get’s to us. Keep friends that look at the positive side of each situation no matter how bad it seems. Why see a glass as half empty when it can still be seen as half full? Face those fears head on… You have what it takes to overcome every mountain set before you.
It’s written: No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it – 1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG)
Be strong, He trusts you to handle it effectively, don’t disappoint Him.

Have a great week ahead and don’t forget to drop your comments. *Hugs*

Yes You Can!!!

Hi dearies, A very happy new year to you all (Yeah.... I know it's 22nd already, it's still a new year..lol)
At this time of the year, it seems a tradition to have resolutions (which many tend to deviate from in no distant time). Whether or not you have new year resolutions, one thing is important: MAKE THIS YEAR BETTER THAN THE PAST!!
Permit me to bring you one of  my Facebook posts:
"To my single friends: The best investment you can make is to invest in yourself. Embrace discipline. Any form of indiscipline you don't curb now will not be stopped by marriage. Marriage doesn't work such miracles, it will rather get it more complicated. Anything you cannot tolerate in marriage, pls pls and pls again, don't tolerate it in a relationship. It's a life long commitment dear, you can't afford to make mistakes. Let God guide you. Let no one pressure you into marrying the wrong person, parents and siblings won't be in it with you. All they can do when the marriage turns sour is offer advice and shoulders to cry on.... Choose wisely!!"
You might have decided to do a lot this year, including owning a new business, getting married, owning a property, getting another job ....etc.
No matter what it is, just keep adding value to your life. Don't do the same thing and expect same results. You can't fail if you've not made an attempt. Make God the center of your life and trust Him to perfect each of those little steps. Be the best in whatever you do. Be daring!! Take that next step!! Place those demands (The worst response will be no.. They won't eat you up). It takes same body features possessed by both you and Einstein. Trust God and believe in yourself. Get up and Get moving..... You deserve the best. Don't stop believing. YOU CAN DO IT!! YOU CAN MAKE IT!!

Thanks for your time. Don't forget to leave a comment. Let's do this again sometime. byeee
