STAY HAPPY 2

Hey there!! Hope you had a splendid weekend? It's a new week with lots of opportunities to be unveiled. Let's all stay positive and expectant.
“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow. It only saps today of its joy.” -Leo Buscaglia

Many times, things happen and they get us asking lots of questions. 'Why me?', 'Why did I even attempt it when I ended up failing?', 'What will people say?' Bla! Blaa! Blaaa!

I have a set of questions for you. 'Why not you?'.... God trusts you to be strong enough to handle the matter properly. 'What if you didn't attempt it?'.... How else would you have known what it takes to fail? For every failure, you discover a new step not to take in approaching what you failed. And the final question is this: 'What won't people say?'.... In this life, as long as people have mouths and are entitled to their opinions, THEY MUST TALK. Like I said in the previous post titled 'Stay Happy' (you can read through if you didn't get to read it)The only person who can make you Happy or Unhappy in this world is YOU. Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket. You alone have the ability to create happiness for yourself. What then becomes of you if you cannot even make your self happy?

Happy people don’t complain. They don’t compare themselves with anyone. It’s not a crime to have aspirations in line with someone else’s achievements, but it becomes bad when you begin to draw comparisons. Even twins don’t come into this world at the same time. You came into this world alone, with your own acts which should be based on your own scripts.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy. It's your life, so live it. Regret is unprofessional! Make the mistakes, learn from them, drop them there and move on!

"The first ingredient for happiness is to avoid too much lengthy meditation on the past"  – Andre Maurois
 So this new week, make the conscious effort to stay happy. Y.O.L.O.
 Have a favored week!!

STAY HAPPY

There's this definition of happiness I came across which I love so much, it goes this way:
Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.
Happy Sisters

 Staying happy is a choice we need to CONSCIOUSLY make at all times. Your decision to stay happy affects you much more than you think. You are the cause of your happiness: The only person who can make you Happy or Unhappy in this world is YOU. You alone have the ability to create happiness for yourself.

For every minute you are angry or unhappy, you lose sixty seconds of happiness. True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient - Contentment. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he does not have. The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections. Look beyond what you don’t have, focus on the much you have and be grateful that you have them.

You might not have those shoes but you have feet that can wear shoes tomorrow; You might not own that dream car yet but you have the sound mind to even differentiate between cars; You might not be where you want to be yet but you DEFINITELY are not where you used to be.
“Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.” Mary Lou Retton
 So my dear friends, Stay Happy!! No matter what comes your way, You deserve to be happy.

Meet My Hero

Like I promised earlier, I'll take Fridays out to celebrate and appreciate people. In line with the fathers' day celebration, I have decided to introduce to you: a great man, My first Love, My Hero, My Teacher, The Greatest Dad in the whole world: Sir Ernest Gwacham
Forever a Happy man

Yeah, That's my Dad. Always filled with light, love and strength. He taught all his kids what it means to stay hopeful in every situation.

The second out of eight children who gave his all to ensure a good life for his siblings after the death of their Dad. Dropped out of school to ensure everyone of them got educated in the absence of their Dad. During this process, he lost an arm but didn't let that deter him in any way.

With clue from what he went through as a child, he became a father to as many children as they were that found their way into his household. Till date, he treats each one of them as his own child and will do everything within his power to assist the less privileged. At the moment, he has eight(8) university graduates out of which six(6) are his biological children and many more still in view.

Here's a little write up I sent to him which I've decided to share:
"Happy Fathers' day Daddy. I'm grateful to God for making me your daughter. You taught us to stay hopeful and thankful to God at all times and in every situation. You hide your hurts to make sure your family smiles. You and Mum have given us such a happy home. We may not say it all the time but we appreciate you so much. Being a good father could be very tasking but you have done this job so well as if it's quite easy. Daddy, thanks for being YOU. Thanks for being a Father to us and the many children under you. God bless you Daddy, I love you so much Sir. Happy fathers' day to you."

There's never a dull moment with Him. He's a wonderful husband;

A great Friend and Father;
 A Strong Grandpa;

And above all, A BLESSED MAN

That's my Hero, I'm glad I got the chance to share this with you all.

The Pledge

Hey there!! Trust you've been good. I found out that people don't really feel bound to somethings they've decided to do till it's written somewhere.  It's always good to write important decisions and plans down, that way:
1. You have a reminder
2. Your integrity is at stake
3. It feels like an obligation..... etc
So I've I decided to make a pledge after apologizing to my dear readers. Sorry for the silence people *smiles*... I promise not to go silent on you again, So help me God!!

You too might have somethings you need to write down as well. Don't just have dreams and visions.... write them down and work towards achieving them. Have a great day y'all. Missed blogging
